At least 500 million Yahoo accounts hacked


ahoo confirmed that at least half a billion of its user accounts were hacked. The company says it believes a "state-sponsored actor" was behind the massive breach. Cybersecurity expert and head of Threat Intelligence at Immunity Inc. Alex McGeorge joins CBSN to discuss.

Yahoo says at least half a billion users had personal information stolen from their accounts in late 2014. It appears the hackers did not steal credit card or bank account numbers, but they did manage to take names, passwords, and other private data. Ben Tracy reports.
